Arsenio Hall and Monique’s talk shows are almost identical. The house bands do not stand out, the conversational exchanges between guests sound like old people talking about their ailments. What can really turn the tide for Arsenio are younger musical guests from rap, rock and pop music. Like The Band Perry has been around, but they are still fresh and new to a lot of viewers. Since Arsenio was a stand up comic steal a page from Seinfeld and treat the mononlogue as the gut check. Instead of reciting scripted words, improvise the comedic bit.
