Hope explains to Scott while in ant size his punches can kill or be as soft as a love tap. when he fights Falcon, with all the skill and training Falcon can’t see his opponent so he can’t anticipate what ant-man is going to do hence taking the L. without the suit there is no fight because Scott is just an ordinary man and Falcon takes back his L and exchanges it for a W.
